Laboratory Profile

Nucleus Pathology Laboratory commenced operations in October 1989 under the directorship of Dr.S.K.Gokhale (MD,DCP) a Gold Medalist in pathology with 35 years experience in this field of which 10 years were in Sassoon General Hospital (Pune) and 5 years in New Medical Center (Abu Dhabi)
 
A staff of 20 members, which include the Director, an Assistant Pathologist, 7 qualified Technicians and 6 efficient Labs.Assistant’s work in the Lab. The lab is located on Paud Road, which is one of the fastest growing suburbs in Pune.The lab occupies an area of 1000 sq.ft. and houses a spacious waiting room for patients and special areas for sample collection, sample processing and consultation with the Director.
 
The Lab is well equipped with modern instruments and analyzers,which assess Haematology,Biochemistry,Serology(including HIV),Microbiology and Histopathology Parameters.
 
UPS provided to all instruments ensures uninterrupted processing of samples even during power failures.
 
A workload of more than 100 patients (daily) is efficiently handled with the support of all modern facilities and adequate manpower provided and supervised by the Director.
 
- Facility for House Visit for blood collection is available.

- Total body fat: Facility to measure total body fat by using modern japanese instruments.

- ECG: Facility for Cardiogram with consultant’s remarks is available.

- 15% Discount Card: Lab has introduced a ‘Lab Card’. By paying only Rs.10/-, one can get a Lab Card for the family by which the family members get 15% Discount on all the routine tests.(Special Tests are not covered.)

- Tie up with Biorad(USA) for quality control programme.

- Lab is open from 8.30 am to 9.00 pm. All week days and 9.00 am to 12.00 noon on Sunday.

- Other consultants like Skin Specialist,Child Specialists,Psychiatrist,Homeopath,Physiotherapist are also available in the same premises.

- The Lab is on Tata Motors and LIC Panel.

- Pulmonary funtion tests: facilities for testing Lung Function available.

- Collection centre at Guruganesh Nagar Paud Road which is open between 8 am – 1pm and 6pm-8.30 pm
